When we were young, we were taught to keep on time, do not late, and keep good habit of punctuality. We ran to catch bus. We ran to catch ferry. We ran to catch train. We went to airport earlier than usual. All these vehicles have a time schedule; if we miss it, we need to wait for a long time for the next coming.
Our God has a [work and rest time schedule] for his people, which is six days for work, and at the seventh day for rest. If we miss the seventh day, then we need to wait for next [the seventh day]. It is the time schedule set by God. The seventh day is from Friday evening to Saturday evening of 24 hours.
It is the only commandment with many thoughts and objections. All these thoughts and objections are shifting us to absent from God's time schedule to sanctify us and to refresh us. I was missing this blessing for many years, until I read the book Hebrew chapter 4. Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Exo 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
Exo 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
 The old covenant had vanished, those ten commandments (including Sabbath day and the other nine commandments) were nailed on the cross by Jesus' sacrificed himself. Instead when we received Jesus into our heart and mind, the new covenant which the contents are the same as old covenant, but this time the contents are written in our hearts & mind and we become a living stone and waiting for salvation. And also we gentile become Abraham's seed, heirs of the kingdom of God, when we receive Christ.
When people are scared by the curse, they would say the opposed things according to Galatians 3:10, which is the curse of the works of the law written in the book of law. A "born again Christian" is doing the law written in their heart, NOT the law written in the book. These people have not got the "rest" yet but they are teaching people to rest on Sunday, or no rest day, or all rest day, or nine commandments only, or all days are holy, to show that they are "Christian saved by the faith not by works", by this they are showing that they have not completed the new covenant relationship. Are they saved? Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. If I miss this coming "Rest day", I would need to wait for the next coming day after six days. I would ask Jesus to forgive my sin of not resting in the Lord's Day from Friday evening to Saturday evening.
The new covenant is the seed that planted in us - (4 types of soil - 4 types of human) human is made from dust of the earth.
When I failed, exhausted and thirsty, because I lost the power of discerning, the power of overcomes the world, and my mind full of confusion. All of these reasons are the lack of the sanctification and "the refresh" by my God and I lost the real touching, God the Father and me the son's relationship.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Why late and not catch up the God's time schedule? Resting in the Lord from Friday evening to Saturday evening, go and wait for your Lord.
